XI v Bournemouth
I very rarely post on here and at 76years young, just enjoy the banter.
However, we are all disappointed with no progress in the Market.
But, if we start the first game as follows:
Fabianski, Coufal, Zouma, Ageurd, Emerson.
Soucek (you know he will play anyway) Downes, Paqueta.
Bowen, Scamacca, Mubama.
Will it be all doom and gloom??
Bench of,
Ogbonna, Cresswell, Kehrer, Areaola, Benrahma, Ings,
Antonio, Fornals and one youngster.
Will it be all bad??

We need 4 or 5 IN.That's written in stone.
iIf it was your business, would, you entrust David Moyes with the loot from Rice??

Unless he's got a broken leg (possibly two) then Soucek is the first name on the sheet for every single game and most likely captain too. God help us.

Re: XI v Bournemouth
Soucek was utter shit with a world class midfielder playing next to him. Absolute myth that suddenly he performs better now that midfielder is no longer there, bloke is shot, needs binning off.

Carter's

I feel we need signings not least to push the current players and stop complacency setting in.

The big problems as we know are the lack of success in the market thus far with pre season two thirds done the loss of most of the coaching staff, an ageing first team and the continual discenting voices regarding Moyes style of play with most posters on here seemingly favouring a more progressive approach / manager which ain't going to happen anytime soon.

Hopefully we will get some half decent bodies through the door before long and see the emergence of young players like Muamba and Potts and as well as seeing the likes of Scamacca Paqueta and even Emerson continue to improve with a full season under there belts but ultimately only time will tell.

I will be backing the 3.3 Draw on the opening day.

Soucek and Antonio will start. If Antonio has been sold to Saudi, he'll be brought back for the day.

Moyes has no idea what to do without them.

Probably do OK against lower level teams at home…

Less so against top half teams…and difficult in Europe…

Definitely need reinforcements to get to top 10…

Re: XI v Bournemouth
we have a very strong 11 when all fit , but hardly any backup which will cost us dearly

If it was my business I would trust Moyes empty the rubbish bins.
We are set back a long way during his stay with an elderly squad and prehistoric football.
Yes, we would need 4 or 5 players, but that is very difficult and very expensive even with the monster sale of Rice.

West Ham are massive broken arm, and will take years to rebuild.

Re: XI v Bournemouth
One All-what is it you think about Rice leaving will miraculously make Soucek able to pass the ball and improve his first touch. Do you also think Rice not being in the team will stop the other team from pressing him

Re: XI v Bournemouth
i can feel soucek having a great season now rice has gone , 10 goals plus i reckon

Re: XI V BOURNMOUTH
Yep also think Soucek will get the nod for captain, imagine that, one of the worse footballers at the club being your captain.

This was all avoidable if they’d done what they should have and let Moyes go.

If Soucek gets the armband then we may as well wrap things up.

Mace, Understood but,
really what are we expecting from these dick heads.
Appoint a DF and Newman what do they do???
100% of SFA.
How come 95% of the people on here see the problem?
Even Hopper and Alan say openly, the problem is Moyes.

JUST GET RID OF THE PRICK

Championship midfield, championship full backs, A ageing pass it keeper & a centre forward who clearly doesn’t wanna be here.

What could go wrong

Championship midfield, well done Moyes and Sullivan you pair of dickheads.

Re: XI V BOURNMOUTH
Clearly we're in trouble and that's without any new transfers needing to ' bed in ' (nobody on south of 250k a week seems to be able to hit the ground running)

And our owners/management team make us probably 18th in line when anyone worth having is up for grabs

Re: XI V BOURNMOUTH
As things stand we have a weakened first eleven without Rice and we have a weakened squad without Lanzini too.

And last season’s squad really struggled.
